Tuesday

I skipped out on lawn anchoring last night. It’s cool though, Barbie had to go to girl scouts or some cult meeting, I can’t remember which ones are on Tuesdays.

So my night was spent in the company of a not only local superstar, but national too.

Me and my laptop headed downtown to make a video blog, with none other than …..

Wait for it………..waaaaait.

The one and only Houston “The Assassin” Alexander of the UFC. Yep. He’s pretty much my BFF now.

It was a super cool behind the scenes with his chiropractor Dr. John Bartholet. Right, I know a chiropractor’s office isn’t a normal place to just hang out with people but seriously, it was a good time. On top of that it was pretty cool to be let into the place after hours like a superstar..so what if it's because I was with one, it counts and I'm cool now.

Over the next day I have to get busy going through all the video to upload so you can all see, and then you’ll agree.

I will tell you a few highlights from the evening though.:

Houston wanted to make sure I got a good ass shot. (Duh, like I wouldn't ?)

Dr. Bartholet called himself a cheap date.

There were metal tools involved. (Painful and scary looking, but according to Houston, not so much of either)

I got some great pictures of the Dr. contorting Houston, which makes it look like he’s kicking his ass.

Oh, and in honor of Houston and his loyalty to all things Nebraska, I wore a Husker shirt. My skin is still burning but don’t worry there’s no scarring.

We've got at least 10K folks here, all displaced - no home, nothing left. We ourselves are very lucky, and will keep trying to help these folks.
